Planning a Miami Girls Trip? Here’s Your Guide!

If you’re planning a Miami girls trip, look no further because I just got back from an amazing trip I’m excited to share! Miami is always a good idea! My friends and I went on a little adventure last week and we had the best time. Planning this trip was easy with the help of friends who are locals or frequent visitors, so here is everything they told us to do! I hope this helps with planning your Miami girls trip!

Miami is the ultimate playground for fashionable jet-setters! No passport required for access to great beaches and restaurants. Today, I’m spilling the beans on the hottest spots in town. From the Nikki Beach to chic restaurants like Swan and Carbone — you and your girls are going to have so much fun!

Planning a Miami Girls Trip? Stop 1:

Nikki Beach: Where Luxury Meets Ocean Waves

First stop, the iconic Nikki Beach – a beach club that knows how to elevate your beachside experience. Boy we had a TIME! The food/drinks are great, the service is incredible and the vibes are immaculate! This fashionable hotspot offers the perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and a dash of celebrity sightings. Picture yourself lounging on plush daybeds, sipping on refreshing cocktails, and indulging in gourmet bites as the waves dance in the backdrop. We had so much fun! Whether you’re soaking up the sun or partying till dawn, Nikki Beach is a must-visit!

Stop 2: Swan: Fashionably Fabulous Dining

Another must do when planning your Miami Girls Trip is a visit to Swan! The restaurant is the brainchild of Miami’s style king, Pharrell Williams, and hospitality genius, David Grutman. The interiors at Swan are so vibey! I actually went there TWICE on this trip, once with my girls trip crew and then again with some of my former co-workers the next day.  The menu boasts a fusion of international flavors that were so delicious. We loved everything we ordered and raved about it all night long. There are tons of picture worthy spots here too, so come dressed to impress!

Stop 3: Carbone: Old-World Charm with a Modern Twist

To know me, is to know that I LOVE Carbone. I’ve been to the Dallas location many times, so including it in the planning was a must! If you love italian food and exceptional dining experiences, you must add this to your “planning for a Miami girls trip” list! This New York transplant has quickly become a Miami favorite, thanks to its classic Italian-American fare and a stylish retro atmosphere. From its checkered floors to vintage photographs lining the walls, Carbone effortlessly transports you to the golden age of dining. Indulge in mouthwatering pasta dishes and succulent steaks while enjoying the energetic ambiance that fills the room. It’s a night out you won’t want to miss.

Planning a Miami Girls Trip? Stop 4:

Papi Steak: A Sizzling Girls Night Out

This trendy hotspot combines the perfect blend of mouthwatering steaks, glamorous ambiance, and a lively atmosphere. Indulge in prime cuts of meat that are cooked to perfection. We sipped on signature cocktails that will have you feeling like a VIP. With its stylish decor and energetic vibe, Papi Steak sets the stage for an unforgettable girls’ night out. So grab your favorite dress, slip into your favorite heels, and prepare for a night of delicious food.

Angler’s Hotel: Chic Tranquility in the Heart of Miami

After days of fashionable adventures, you’ll need a stylish sanctuary to unwind and recharge. Enter Angler’s Hotel, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of South Beach. This boutique hotel combines art deco charm with modern elegance, offering a serene oasis amidst the vibrant Miami scene. Slip into one of their stylishly appointed rooms, boasting plush furnishings and soothing colors, ensuring a luxurious stay. Don’t forget to take a dip in the rooftop pool, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline. Angler’s Hotel is the perfect home away from home for the fashion-forward traveler.

Planning a Miami Girl’s Trip?! You’re Ready, Sis!

So there you have it – your planning guide to experiencing the trendiest side of Miami. We truly had the best time together. This is my second time visitng the city and I really feel like I could have an amazing experience each time. From the glamorous Nikki Beach to the culinary delights of Swan and Carbone, topped off with a stay at the chic Angler’s Hotel, this trip was the perfect getaway for us busy moms.

Let me know where else you’d visit if you’ve been to Miami before. I have a feeling I’ll be back soon! I’m going to link all the girls that were with me on the trip so that you can follow them too! To shop all of my outfits or for outfit inspiration for your Miami Girls Trip, check out this post!

A White & Spicy Vacation Dress

A white and spicy vacation dress that your closet needs! I risked it all and bought this dress from Revolve last month, not sure where I’d ever wear it to, but it was too fabulous not to bring home with me. I love that it is open on the sides but not too revealing anywhere else. I’m headed to Miami at the end of the month and I think I’m going to bring this with me. If I don’t wear it there, I think I’d definitely get some wear in Jamaica in it!

Of course, I know this dress isn’t going to be for everybody, but if you have to confidence to rock it, I say go for it! You can shop my white and spicy vacation dress in today’s post. I’ll also link the viral Amazon dress that gives the same vibes without being open on the sides.

Sofia Richie’s Style Under $200

And just like that, Sofia Richie’s style is trending all over the world. We covered this briefly on sundayspod, but I thought I’d bring you a visual here on the blog as well. The best way that I can describe Sofia Richie’s style is timeless, very chic, quiet luxury. It’s been incredible to see how quickly she’s taken the world by storm following her wedding in the South of France. I think what is drawing women in is how aspirational all of her content is. I mean, who wouldn’t want to marry the man of their dreams in a beautiful country, wearing the most beautiful clothes?!

I put together a Sofia Richie Style Guide featuring pieces under $200 that totally fit her aesthetic. Let me know what you might add or take away! I found myself fangirlign a bit this past weekend too, but remember, your style is your own. Wear what makes you feel good! We don’t all have to dress the same. But if you’re going to dress like Sofia Richie, that’s not a bad place to start.

What I also love is how she styles pieces with so much class and doesn’t have to show a ton of skin to be relevant. I think that is such a powerful message to young women everywhere. I love the example she’s setting!

A Wearable Spring Fashion Trend

In case you missed the latest episode on Sunday’s Pod, we shared a Spring Fashion Trend Report that covered both the current season and the upcoming Summer 2023 season! It’s safe to say, a lot of the “trends” are repeats from past seasons, which isn’t surprising. History tends to repeat itself! And the best part is that most are super easy to recreate with things you probably already own. Black and blazers are two trends that I’m loving right now. I wore this Anine Bing suit set a few weeks ago and loved the structure of the jacket so much. Oversized blazers and lots of SHOULDER are going to be everywhere in the coming months. Of course, that’s not why I got this look though. I got it because I love it and know that I will wear it over and over again.

This one is a bit of a splurge but I also linked a couple look for less options that will be great for re-creating this outfit without breaking the bank.

What I Wore: Spring Influencer Event

Spring is here and the first event of the season happened last week. Something Pretty Floral hosts the most amazing events every year. I look forward to the gorgeous decor and spending time with friends. Here’s a glimpse into the event and what I wore for the day. Green is trending for spring and I’ve gotten so much wear out of this dress from Revolve. I first bought it for the holidays, but have since repurposed if for warmer weather. I can totally see myself wearing it over and over again. It is super flattering and has been very popular on Revolve. I’m going to link it. If your size is sold out, just sign up for updates because it has come back in stock a few times now.

Here are my top 3 skincare essentials I use every day now. I also included several Colleen Rothschild products that I have also tried and really enjoy! I’ve been using the lip scrub + lip mask combo a lot during these cold weather days; it seems to be helping. I usually layer it with this lippie too.

sundayspod Season 2

sundayspod

Last year, my good friend Sarah and I launched our podcast, sundayspod. We ended the year with 30 episodes and we’re officially in countdown mode for season 2. I’m so excited to see where we can take sundays this year! I have big dreams for continuing to evolve our brand into something really special – beyond the mic! I wanted to share a little behind the scenes from our shoot with you guys. Check it out below! If you haven’t caught up on Season 1, you can tune into sundays whereever you listen to your podcasts!

What is sundayspod?

We are a luxe lifestyle podcast featuring two friends navigating life as 30-somethings. We share our take on life’s big (and small) questions + share our fabulous adventures along the way. A series that sundayspod is excited to expand upon this season is called “Worth the Hype?!” – where we try popular places and/or things and tell our listeners if it’s worth the “hype!” I can’t wait to share our first trip of the year, but I’m even more excited to see if it’s actually worth the hype!

Sarah and I have some fun things planned that will be new for season 2 as well, so be sure to follow us on our social media pages to never miss what we are up to!

GIBSONLOOK X STEPH TAYLOR JACKSON

The dress I designed with Gibsonlook is officially live! I am so excited for this launch. I feel honored to be able to create a piece with a brand that I have worked with for years. This dress was designed with transitioning into spring in mind. I love how it flows and the cinched detail at the waist allows for a very flattering fit. Style her with boots, sandals or sneakers, the design is incredibly versatile.

I hope you love the dress as much as I do! Share it with a friend and be sure to tag me so I can see how you style your dress. Thank you so much for your continued support and for sharing in my excitement for Gibsonlook X Steph Taylor Jackson.

Healthy Girl Era

You can find me in my healthy girl era all 2023. I shared my fitness journey on social media last year and how I not only lost weight, but became the healthiest, strongest version of myself. There was a lot that went into this, so I wanted to share a few tips and resources in case you too are entering into your healthy girl era.

Let me start off by saying, there’s always a lot of pressure and chatter surrounding weight loss at the beginning of the year. I don’t like that. Let’s focus on our overall health and the kind of people we want to be when, God willing, we are 70-80 years old. I want to be strong. I want to be sharp. I want to be able to get around on my own. I want to feel healthy and enjoy my days. What about you?

5 Things I Did To Jumpstart My Healthy Girl Era

  1. Lift heavy weights
  2. Reduced alcohol consumption significantly
  3. Increased my non-exercise activity by walking more
  4. Sought out help from a nutrition coach to get my macros right
  5. Stopped dieting and focused on proper nutrition to reach my goals

Remember, everyone’s journey will look different. Genetics, diet and exercise routine and just overall body composition will play into how someone you might be comparing yourself online to looks vs. how you look. An account that I really love to follow is The Gym Nurse, I follow her workout plans and truly enjoy her content because it’s real life and so relatable. I linked some of my essentials below!
