Blogging Equipment for Fashion Bloggers and Beginners

Having great blogging equipment is so important when delivering exceptional content for your website and social media channels. Whether you choose to use your phone or a professional grade camera is totally up to you, but I personally prefer shooting with a camera.  I recently purchased some new gear plus a few accessories, so I thought I’d share. I searched for the “best camera for bloggers” for months prior to finally making a decision, and I am really happy with my selection. Check out my round up of the best blogging equipment for fashion bloggers and beginners.

P.S.: The boys shot the two images below with my new camera and I love how they came out! No more waiting to schedule a photoshoot when I’m in a bind! Yas!

My Favorite Camera

I recently upgraded my camera to the Canon EOS R, a mirrorless camera that delivers exceptional image quality and video content. I went back and forth between the R vs R5 for months, but ultimately decided that the R fit my needs (and budget) the best. I love the auto-focus on the video when I'm shooting Reels or YouTube content. The quality of the photos is also amazing. My photographer uses this camera as well, so that helped me make my decision even easier.

Professional Lavalier Lapel Microphone

I purchased this microphone to help me eliminate the auto-focus sound that occurs when filming videos with the camera. The sound quality is excellent and it was really easy to set up. The cord is long enough to not restrict any of my movements. This mic is a best seller on Amazon!

Sigma 35mm F 1.4 Art Lens

I purchased this lens last year to add to my Canon Rebel T1I. That camera has been with us for YEARS and I thought maybe a new lens would help spruce her up a bit. It helped a bit, but I could finally see how fantastic this lens is once I paired it with my Canon R.

Best Vlogging Camera

The Canon G7X is the perfect camera for vlogging. I purchased mine about 2 years ago and used it a lot pre-Covid. It's a great handheld option that is small enough to fit into a purse. Love it for on the go and it has great auto-focus.

All the Tech Accessories You Need

From lighting to tripods, swipe to see my favorite gear for creating content. I've had my ring light for years and it is still going strong. I added additional lights a couple years ago to even out the lighting when I film. I also bought the tripod for my phone last year and that was a game changer.
