Black and white is one of the trends I’m loving for 2022, mostly because I already have so many great pieces in my closet that I can wear. I stumbled across this black and white jumpsuit last week on ASOS and had to have it. The pattern is so cool and it’s a great piece that you can wear to several different events and places.

I ordered a size 8 and I feel like it fits really well. I’m smaller up top but the ties in the back of the jumpsuit make it easy to tighten it so that the jumpsuit does not feel loose. I’m linking this look plus the shoes that I wore. How to style leather shorts! Well, faux leather shorts that is. I’m having some fun with these shorts that I found on ASOS and here’s one way that I love to style them. We’re in that weird time of year where I really want to dress for spring but it’s still kind of cold, so I love playing with shorts while we transition. Also, shorts are on the hot list for spring 2022 trends. Let’s play!

I found this blue, mock neck sweater that is lightweight enough to wear by itself or paired with a coat. The color is gorgeous and would look great on any skin tone. While scrolling Amazon, I came across the blue sunglasses that gives a really cool matching look, without trying too hard.

I’m linking a few other short styles that I found at a great price point. What I love about the leather shorts look is that you can absolutely carry this with you into the next season. My next pair will be brown or cream for a softer, brighter look. Shop more leather shorts below!

In other news, I’m headed to an event tomorrow with Alo Yoga and I’m excited to go to my first event of the year. I told myself this year that I would be better about getting out of the house and going to the things I’m invited to. I am such an introvert and really struggle in new situations or around new people, but hopefully by pushing myself to get out more, I’ll be able to be a little better at it. Fingers crossed! I also started therapy late last year which has been amazing for my mental health. My anxiety, especially my social anxiety is something I want to take head on in 2022, so I joined Talkspace and it’s been great so far.

Spring 2022 Fashion Trends you need to know … like, right now!

While I’ve never been one to feel bound by rules or trends, I do LOVE to see what designers are creating and what they anticipate to be “HOT” for the upcoming season. Today I’m sharing 4 trends to watch for Spring 2022. There will of course be more trends to follow that I love, but let’s start with these 4!

And YES, it may feel a little early for all of this chatter, but you know once Valentine’s Day passes, we’ll all be starting to think about SPRING!!

Here’s a little blazer outfit inspiration to kick off your day! It’s no secret that I love a great blazer! I was scrolling Pinterest for inspiration, and came across biker shorts styled with a blazer and sneakers. I loved the look but thought my new boots from ASOS would look even better.

I love this look because it is so easy to recreate and it is a great transitional look from winter to spring. I styled my outfit with a unitard, however, biker shorts and sports bra would also look just as nice! We are in such a weird period right now with Texas weather! I never know what to wear. It’s 70 degrees today but it will be 20 degrees by night fall. Adding layers with pieces like a great blazer (or trench coat – I just bought one that I can’t stop wearing) are how I’m making it through the constant changes.

I’ve been having so much fun playing with different looks lately. Towards the end of last year, I was even a little bored with my outfits, so I wanted to get back to me and start styling looks that I’m excited about.
