Today we’re chatting all things baby nursery and how to decorate a nursery on a budget! These tips can of course be applied to any room of the house, but I’m so excited to share where we shopped, what deals we looked for and how we saved money on larger furniture pieces.
First up, the BIG reveal! I have been so excited to show you this sweet space. I love how light and bright the room is. Our color palette is soft pink, white and gold and I wanted that to be visible throughout the space. Check out some of the photos and then keep scrolling to get all of the details!
Decorate Baby Nursery On A Budget
This is focal point of the room and one of the first things you see when you walk into the nursery. Finding a crib that fit our color scheme but that was also budget friendly was very important to me. I love that the Modrn Glam 3-in-1 Convertible Crib is under $300! We found ours at Walmart.
The Dresser/Changing Table
This is an area where we opted to save vs. splurge for decorating the baby nursery. I found an incredible solid wood dresser on Facebook Marketplace for $80. After sanding and painting it, the dresser was perfect for the space. I got everything, including these knobs for under $150. We opted for the Hatch Baby Grow Smart changing pad. I love the design, color and functionality of this one. It fits our nursery perfectly.
I linked a few great options for dressers though if you aren’t in the mood for a DIY!
The Rug + Accessory Details
I shopped around for awhile for a rug and found this one on Rugs.com. It was on sale for $99, which for the size is a great deal. If you can, wait for a sale so that you can save some money! I wanted a good size rug but didn’t want to spend over $100.
The gold hang bar is from Amazon. I wanted something chic that would add a fun detail to the room. We will be folding most of her clothes and then displaying cute new finds here.
Our chandelier is an Overstock.com find for under $200. It is absolutely gorgeous. My inspiration for this lighting was over $1000, so I was VERY excited to find something super affordable. My husband even asked if we could find something nice like this for a room downstairs. #Winning!
Misc. Decor
Here are a few fun things that I found that just really added to the little details of the room. The swan may be my favorite purchase to date!
We are so happy with how the space turned out! Decorating a baby nursery on a budget was actually a lot of fun! I love shopping for the best deal, so being patient and waiting for a good coupon code or sale was key. I hope you find some inspiration here if you’re decorating a baby girl nursery soon!
