The snakeskin boot trend first hit the fashion world at the end of the summer. Every fashion magazine and fashionista predicted it would be a hit. And I’m here to report, all forecasts were correct. The snakeskin boot trend is still going strong and appears to be here to stay … at least for a little while.
SHOP THE LOOK
If you’re on the fence about whether or not this style is for you, you are not alone. It took me months to finally bite the bullet and buy my first pair. The snakeskin boot trend has been on the fashion radar since July/August 2019, and I bought mine two weeks ago. My hesitation wasn’t that I didn’t love the style, it was more so … how do I style this without looking ridiculous?
So I wanted to break down a few tips on how to wear this trend, and look really stylish in the process.
MAKE A STATEMENT.

- Remember snakeskin boots are a statement piece. It’s okay if they standout, they are meant to do that! Get creative with how you incorporate them into your wardrobe. My favorite is with dresses, however, I know these boots would also look incredible with a faux leather legging!
MATCHING IS OPTIONAL.
- The way I styled the snakeskin boots here is pretty tame, but I’ve also paired my boots with a silver sequin dress and it. looked. fabulous! Go crazy. Try them with any and every look until you get it right. There are literally no rules.
HAVE FUN.
- There’s something really whimsical and chic about the snakeskin boot trend. I can think of about 100 different ways that I would wear mine now that I have them. When in doubt, refer to tip #2 … there are literally no rules! Wear whatever you want, it’s bound to be fabulous.
