Day one of NYFW is in the books! I am beyond exhausted but so grateful for the opportunity to be here! I’ve been up since 3:30AM CST and can hardly see straight, but I am obsessed with the designer I saw tonight. Since I landed mid afternoon, I only committed to 3 shows for the day and a dinner with the girls tonight, but then the day got crazy and we only made it to one show. But it was Tadashi so I’m a happy girl. Below is a recap of who I saw today and some images from the ones I missed.
My look for the day was elevated street style, I wanted to be comfortable but still have a bit of an edge flair. My top is from Zara, it’s an oversized sweatshirt that turned out to be perfect for the cooler weather we are experiencing here in NYC this week. When I saw the top, I knew immediately that I needed a short skirt or shorts that had ruffles. I ran out of time (and money) to buy high knee boots, so I wore my favorite ankle boots with a high knee sock. I love the way the look turned out!
Tadashi never disappoints with his designs. There were a few moments during the show when I had to close my mouth because the pieces were just so gorgeous! Major jaw drop. The show started with every day pieces that I truly feel like I could wear to events when I am out and about or even to dinner, and then shifted into these magical dresses that were full of sparkle and amazing design. Below are a few images/videos of my favorite looks.
I didn’t make it to Noon by Noor or Sechs Element (click to see photos) but I definitely wanted to show you guys what I missed because they both produced such amazing shows with gorgeous product.
